| A Wonderful Experience in Kamloops September 15th, 2006 | ||
Dear Sir or Madam, This is just a short note to let you know what a great time my wife and I had in your City. We have a daughter and son-in-law living in Kamloops and they showed us the sites. We loved Riverside Park! It is kept beautifully and the trees are super! The swimming in the river was Cool but refreshing! We loved the Music in the Park the three nights we were there. In closing, this was a wonderful experience and we look forward to coming again. Oh, yes, the FREE parking at Riverside Park was a Bonus! You are the Best! Thank you! Sincerely, John & Martha Easter

What a great experience. I have to admit I was a little reluctant at first -- Kamloops to me has never been anything other than a gas stop before -- but I was pleasantly surprised by it all. In fact, after all our wonderful experiences I left town thinking I could even live there, especially if I could have friends like the ones we met. Which is another way of saying thanks ever so much for inviting me; I've already starting writing a story. Karen Johanson:
Thanks again for a phenomenal media trip. I have several angles in mind for Kamloops coverage and am planning a return to the area to develop a few of those angles further. Kerry Banks: Paid me the highest compliment (especially coming from someone like Kerry who is not only one of the finest writers I know, but also not typically expressive) by saying that I should teach others how to organize press trips because this is one of the best he has been on. May kept extolling the beauty of the area, and expressing surprise at the variety of activities available. Ian MacNeill
| What Memories are Made Of September 6th, 2006 | ||
| What a memorable time in the Kamloops area — from Wildlife Park to The Ranch to being held up by Billy Miner and his gang in Kamloops and the visit to Jandana Ranch with its concepts of Natural Horsemanship, it was a blast! And what a delightful way to end our visit at the beautiful South Thompson Inn. The evening and the trip couldn’t have ended more perfectly. Sitting around a bonfire, with the South Thompson, the Trans Canada and cross Canada rail line in the background, while we listened to Mike’s poetry. The crescent moon and flight of Canada geese completed the picture. I can’t wait to bring Ross, my husband to discover the area, I’d love to have him meet Ellen Pritchard at The Ranch. And Lee, you and Spur were such enthusiastic hosts! Carolyn Carolyn Walton | ||
