FireFit has specialized in presenting Fire Fighter Events, across Canada since 1994. Their flag ship event, the FireFit Championships, is recognized by Departments not only in Canada but World Wide. We invite all Fire Fighters to participate and be Fitter, Faster, Stronger... FireFit!
The Scott FireFit Championships is a competition based on fire fighting tasks commonly performed in emergency situations. There are many different levels of Competitors, from the seasoned 10 year veteran to the first time rookies. The FireFit Event is very demanding. Training prior to competition is imperative. Your first Event will be an eye opener but will give you a base to work from. You will meet many other first time Competitors as well as those who have made this their sport and have been competing for years. Take advantage of the fact that the course is open for inspection, in most cases, the day before the Event takes place. Come down and meet the FireFit Crew as well as other Competitors!
All teams and individuals are welcome to compete. All events are open. Teams and individuals eligible to compete for the Regional Byes in this Regional are those Departments from British Columbia, The Yukon, North West Territories & Nunavut.
Competitors from other Countries are welcome to compete for an International Bye to the FireFit Championship Finals to be held in Halifax, NS, August 30th to September 2nd, 2007.
The First Place Individual in each Category receives a Bye to Final Day of the FireFit Finals in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Team times of 9 minutes or less qualifies a team to compete on one of the 'Wild Card Days' at the Finals in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The top 14 Teams from the two 'Wild Card Days' will move on to Final Day in Halifax, NS.
FireFit 2007
This year’s Scott Firefit Championships was held in Kamloops, British Columbia. The event was held in the parking lot of the Interior Savings Centre from May 26-27, 2007.
The event is set to return to Kamloops for 2008. Dates have yet to be confirmed.
