Tourism Kamloops

Tourism, Canada's Passport to Prosperity
June 4-10, 2007

Tourism Week is an annual national celebration for the purpose of creating a broader awareness of Canada's $62.7 billion tourism industry among the general public, media and governments at all levels. Celebrating tourism throughout the country during a single week greatly magnifies the impact of individual efforts, large or small.

Tourism Week is initiated by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada and essentially provides a focal point for activities organized by provincial and territorial tourism industry associations, provincial and territorial marketing organizations, destination marketing organizations, as well as individual businesses and other partners of tourism.

Tourism Kamloops is working hard to enhance the originality of Tourism Week in our community. We are working together with attractions and other businesses around Kamloops to promote the value of the tourism industry to the general public. Tourism Kamloops will run ads celebrating Tourism Week and highlighting events and activities throughout the area, including discounted admissions for residents and opportunities to win passes. Tourism Week will take place this year from June 4-10, country-wide!
