BIG Little Science CentreThe BIG Little Science Centre is dedicated to developing a passion for science among youth. Started in February 2000 by Gordon R. Gore, this retired science teacher has dedicated his life to teaching science in an interactive environment.
The Centre currently operates out of four classrooms at Bert Edwards Science and Technology School. (Please enter the BIG Little Science Centre via the York Avenue entrance) The current program format allows visitors a period of time to experiment on their own at any of 120-plus hands-on stations and to see demonstrations.
Science Centre Hours of Operation
Thursdays and Fridays: 3:00pm - 5:00 pm
Saturdays: 10:00am - 3:00 pm
Special shows/activities: Saturdays
Closed for Sundays and holidays.
Science Centre Entrance Fees
Drop-in entrance fees:
Annual membership: $35
Family rate: $10
Adults: $5
Children under 16: $2
Children six or under: FREE
All children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
BLSC members enter drop-in times for FREE.
BLSC family annual membership fee: $35
BLSC individual annual membership fee: $25
