Kamloops' vast, wide open landscape provides varied terrain for a multitude of winter adventures. Coupled with bright, sunny skies and dry, light snow on the surrounding mountains, the city is the ultimate destination for winter activities for many reasons.
Not only is Kamloops home to Sun Peaks Resort, Canada’s third-largest ski resort, but is also only 20 minutes from Harper Mountain, a family friendly ski hill with a Tube Park and night skiing. Prefer cross country skiing, an abundance of groomed trails are close by for classic and skate skiing. Talk to the Kamloops Visitor Centre for recommended areas to check out to make some tracks.

Beyond Skiing & Snowboarding, there are other unique ways to explore Kamloops' winter wonderland. Snowmobiling in the Kamloops region is world class, with the season often extending from mid-November until late April. The local snowmobile clubs do an excellent job of maintaining and marking trails so it's easy to plan an adventure with your friends.
