Andy Philpot

Andy Philpot
Andrew has called Kamloops home for most of his life. He has been interested in photography ever since he was given his first basic Brownie camera in his early teens. Mostly self-taught, he continues to prove that he has a special ability to compose and capture special and unique images. Like most photographers he has made the transition from film to digital format which allows for the exploration of whole new areas of image presentation.
Even though he concentrates on landscape images, he has documented the building and operation of the Wanda Sue Paddlewheeler, the Kamloops Heritage Railway’s 2141 steam locomotive, the Armstrong Explorer railtours, Ghost Train and Spirit of Christmas Trains, the BC Wildlife Park’s Wildlights, Kamloops Firefighter’s Operation Nicaragua and numerous events in the Kamloops area. His work has appeared in both the Kamloops Daily News and Kamloops This Week, numerous travel magazines and promotional brochures.
