Tourism Kamloops Team Continues to Grow

Kamloops, B.C.: Tourism Kamloops CEO, Lee Morris is delighted to announce that Brian Webb will join the Tourism Kamloops team as the Manager for Marketing and Sales in January of 2006.

Brian is a well-known face in the tourism industry. He has been the Marketing Manager for Big White and Silver Star for the past six years and has been the driving force behind successful initiatives for these ski resorts. Brian brings extensive experience in developing results driven, multi media marketing campaigns.

“Brian will be a dynamic addition to the Tourism Kamloops team and I am looking forward to welcoming him in the New Year”, remarked Lee Morris.

Brian brings extensive experience in developing results driven, multi media marketing campaigns and will be responsible for managing all advertising initiatives, production management for all publications and web marketing, ROI analysis and reporting on all marketing initiatives.

The tourism industry in Kamloops is growing and playing an increasingly important role in the local economy. Kamloops will be hosting the 2006 North American Short Track Speed Skating Championships and will be one of the cities for the 2006 World Junior Hockey Championships. The 2006 BC Summer Games are scheduled for Kamloops. Hotel occupancy rates are increasing.

With the New Year brings about fresh change which has seen Colleen DeSantis promoted to Executive Assistant, Sales & Marketing. Colleen will also be acting as the senior offi ce administrator and will be responsible for leading initiatives for the meetings sector, coordinating tour & travel sector sales efforts and coordinating all tour & travel FAM and media tour logistics.

Jamie Noakes has previously worked with Tourism Kamloops on a part time basis coordinating a number of projects. With her research background, she will be working with research contractors to deliver select research initiatives.
