| New! Winter Art Camps at the Kamloops Art Gallery Tuesday, November 25th, 2008 |
The Kamloops Art Gallery is delighted to announce the start of a new children’s studio art program. Due to the overwhelming response to the spring and summer art camps, the Gallery is now launching the Winter Art Camp.
These half-day camps for ages 4 to 12 start on December 22, the day after the official first day of Winter, and end on December 31, with a break in between for the holidays.
Participants spend their days making candles, papier-mâche objects, jewellery, and mosaics. They also enjoy sculpting, painting, making wearable art and seeing the current exhibitions. A variety of projects are presented as options for children to choose from. Children are encouraged to work at their own pace and explore their imaginations while working with many mediums.
Monday to Wednesday, December 22, 23, 24 and December 29, 30, 31
Ages 4 to 6
Ages 7 to 12
Call or visit the Gallery to register, or to enquire about further details. The Gallery is located at 465 Victoria Street; phone is 250-377-2400.
