Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is a sport with deep roots in Hawaiian history.  In the 1940's, Waikiki's beach boys used single blade "kanu" paddles to propel their oversized surfboards to watch over their guests.

Summer sessions take place on beautiful Heffley Lake, a tranquil mountain lake located just 30 minutes from downtown Kamloops.  Lessons and sessions are also available in Kamloops on the Thompson River upon request.

Surfit 2013 Programs

Stand Up Paddling Lessons

  • 2 hour session includes equipment familiarization, dry-land instruction, water safety & fundamental paddling techniques.  $60/person 2 person minimum. All equipment included, board, paddle, PFD, and leash.

Advanced Flatwater SUP

  • 1 hour session focused on advance paddling techniques and proper body position to maximize paddling efficiency and fitness benefits. $30/person 2 person minimum.  All equipment included, board, paddle, PFD and leash.

Paddle Fit

  • 1 hour session includes a dry land warm up, calisthenics, strength and resistance training, distance paddle & relaxing stretch/yoga. $30/person 2 person minimum.  All equipment included, board, paddle, PFD and leash.

Lake Tour

  • 3 hour tour enjoying the tranquile shorelines and bays of beautiful Heffley Lake.  $100/person 2 person minimum.  All equipment included, board, paddle, PFD and leash.

Private Stand Up Paddle Lessons

  • $60/person.  All equipment included, board, paddle, PFD and leash

Boards & Bikes 2013

Guided Mountain Bike and Stand Up Paddle Tours with professionally certified instructors.  The perfect team building day.  $120/ person (group rates available).  All equipment provided, board, paddle, PFD and leash.

  • 1.5 hour mountain bike ride - Perfect for novice to intermediate riders.  Enjoy a casual forested ride on Heffley Lake's neighboring back roads and trails.
  • 1.5 hour stand up paddle tour - No previous experience necessary.  Introduction to fundamental paddling skills, followed by a tour of the bays and shoreline of beautiful Heffley Lake

* May substitute mountain biking for a hike
