Kamloops Flavours Trail Sets The Table for Tasty Exploration

Kamloops, BC:   Kamloops and its surrounding areas have a lengthy history as a flavourful destination for visitors and
locals alike. Embracing established community growers with emerging new producers, craft brewers, and wine and cider makers in the region, Tourism Kamloops proudly introduces the Kamloops Flavours Trail brochure shining a spotlight on the area’s culinary delights and signature events, and how to easily access them.
“We’re pleased to be featuring over 30 producers throughout our region on the Kamloops Flavours Trail, as well as many signature flavour‐style events,” says Monica Dickinson of Tourism Kamloops. “As a destination marketing organization, we recognized that there was an opportunity for us to take the lead to present itinerary and trail recommendations to visitors to our city to enjoy the abundance of flavours in our region. In addition, we’ve seen an emergence of an incredible wine industry and culture, which pairs perfectly with this initiative.”

Tourism Kamloops has produced the First Edition of the Kamloops Flavours Trail brochure which will be available free of charge to the public June 8th online, at the Kamloops Visitor Centre, or at one of the local producers’ locations. The
brochure features three trails; Flavours Trail: City Limits, Flavours Trail: West, and Flavours Trail: East, plus a shopping list of recommended local goodies, food inspired events, and more. “In addition to our brochure, we’ll be working with the local producers and growers to share their stories and passion for producing the unique‐to‐Kamloops fare,” says Dickinson. “We’re targeting the Lower Mainland area with a larger campaign as well, enticing those from the city to come and explore our unique landscape, engage with the real people who produce award winning wines, beers and food products, and to stay for a few days to enjoy Kamloops’ hospitality.”
