4th Annual Tourism Kamloops BOLD Hospitality Award Nominations Open for Peak Tourism Season

July 1,2019, Kamloops, British Columbia – The 4th Annual Tourism Kamloops BOLD Hospitality Awards are back! Nominations for 2020 open on July 1st – just in time for peak tourism season. The BOLD Hospitality Awards recognize and celebrate local hospitality rock stars who provide exceptional visitor service to Kamloops visitors.
“We had an incredible response from our visitors last year. A resounding 40% of all nominations for the BOLD Awards were receive by visitors,” notes Monica Dickinson, Director Industry Relations & Communications. “We were very pleased with this response as we rolled out the program July 1st of 2018. 2020 will mirror that launch as we seek to capture even more visitor nominations this year. This engagement speaks to the importance of the program and elevates its credibility through organic recognition.”
Six awards categories for nominations include:
- Food & Beverage “foh” of the Year (front of house)
- Food & Beverage “boh” of the Year (back of house)
- Accommodation “foh” of the Year (front of house)
- Accommodation “boh” of the Year (back of house)
- Tourism Attractions Leader of the Year
- Tourism Services Leader of the Year
Nominations can be submitted online at www.tourismkamloops.com/boldawards and will remain open until October 31, 2019. In 2018, a record breaking 72 nominations highlighting 46 unique nominees were received. Local tourism industry partners have been eager to participate. Over 100 locations throughout the city will once again receive program essentials including window decals, tent cards and business cards to show their support and participation.
The Kamloops Blazers will again host a casual awards reception at the Valley First Lounge at Sandman Centre Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
