Hop to it: Your Kamloops Easter Weekend Guide
The Easter Bunny isn't the only one hopping around Kamloops this weekend. The whole city is bursting with things to do, see, taste, and (let's be honest) eat. Whether you're herding little ones on an egg hunt, sipping wine in the vineyard sunshine, or chasing powder at Sun Peaks, there is something on this list with your name on it.
So put the couch in time-out, drag the family out the door, and let's hop to it. Here's your complete guide to Easter weekend in Kamloops, 2026.
Easter Basket Workshop
TABLE Twelvefifty, Coast Kamloops Hotel · 1250 Rogers Way | April 2nd | 6:30 – 8:30pm
Kick the weekend off on Wednesday night with something a little different — a floral basket workshop hosted by Kamloops Florist at the lovely new TABLE Twelvefifty restaurant. Everything you need to build a gorgeous Easter basket arrangement is provided; all you have to bring is yourself (and maybe a friend or three). Think of it as arts and crafts with better ambiance.
A server will be on hand for drinks during the workshop, and a 10% discount applies to food and non-alcoholic beverages that evening. A perfect "low-key start to the long weekend" kind of night. Learn more here!
Easter Eggcitment at the BC Wildlife Park
BC Wildlife Park · 9077 Dallas Drive | April 3rd - 6th | 9:30am - 4:00pm daily
Running the full four days of Easter weekend at BC Wildlife Park, this is Kamloops' most beloved Easter tradition for a reason. Think egg hunts on the Great Lawn, reptile and owl encounters, face painting by Kamloops Art Party, miniature train rides ($1 cash!), and daily performances by everyone's favourite party starter — Uncle Chris the Clown. Each day also features an Animal Easter Egg Hunt, where the park's foxes, birds of prey, or raccoons get in on the action.
Golden Egg Alert: One golden egg is hidden somewhere in the park each day. Find it and win free admission plus a private animal encounter for four people. The hunt is real. The competition is fierce.
On Monday, April 6, the park runs a Sensory Friendly experience (9 AM–12 PM) in partnership with the Canucks Autism Network — a quieter, more inclusive version with trained support staff and sensory kits available at Guest Services.
Tickets from $16.45 (children 3–17), $21.45 (adults). Annual passholders get in free.
Easter Eggstravaganza at Sun Peaks Resort
Sun Peaks Resort · Top of the Sunburst Express Chairlift | April 5th | 10:30am
Because why hunt for eggs at ground level when you could do it at altitude? The Easter Bunny has reportedly been spotted on the mountain at Sun Peaks — and we're told he's been hiding chocolate eggs across the alpine terrain. On Sunday April 5, meet the Easter Bunny and Harry Bear at the top of the Sunburst Express at 10:30 AM, then set off to find the hidden chocolate eggs scattered across the mountain.
Open to all ages (a friendly heads-up: adults are not permitted to assist in the hunt — this is the kids' moment to shine). Participation is complimentary; a lift ticket is required to get up the mountain.
Easter Egghunt + Brunch at Privato Vineyard & Winery
Privato Vineyard & Winery, Kamloops | April 5th | 11:00am – 2:00pm
The grown-ups deserve a proper Easter too. Privato Vineyard and Winery is throwing an Easter brunch paired with — you guessed it — an egg hunt on the vineyard grounds. Picture a spread of seasonal food, glasses of Privato wine, and a little friendly egg-hunting competition among people who are old enough to appreciate it. Note: the Tasting Room reopens on April 2nd, so timing is impeccable.
This one is the move for date nights, friend group brunches, or anyone who believes the best egg hunts are followed by a glass of something excellent.
Spring Egg Venture
Moonwok Aberdeen | April 5th | 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Looking for a classic family egg hunt experience with that signature Kamloops community charm? The Spring Egg Venture delivers exactly that — a springtime adventure built for families who want to make a proper outing of Easter weekend. A great addition to your schedule if you're planning to hit multiple events across the weekend.
Easter Fun on the Farm at Blackwell Dairy
Blackwell Dairy Farm · 7000 Blackwell Road | April 6th | 10:00am – 2:00pm
Cap off the long weekend the right way—on a real working farm. Head out to Blackwell Dairy on Easter Monday for a scavenger hunt, a peek inside the barn, a farmers market, family activities, and a BBQ. The farm store will also be open, so you can stock up on fresh local dairy on your way out the door. Free admission. Fresh air. Actual cows. What more do you need?
This is the one for families who want to slow down, breathe in the countryside, and remind the kids that milk doesn't actually come from a carton.
