Fall flavours make the most of late season fruit and the last drops of sunshine, combined with heartier and heavier notes that create cozy seasonal sips. Explore wide-open spaces in Kamloops outdoors then head inside to these five breweries for a warm welcome and a cold beer.
Red Collar Brewing Co.
New for fall at Red Collar Brewing, the Rose Mallow Hibiscus Saison is a continuation of their floral saison series, featuring strong notes of both hibiscus and rosehip - boasting a bright pink body. This soft ale was brewed with the addition of Sacch Trois yeast creating a funky and juicy beer that's perfect for early fall sipping! Additional favourite fall seasonals include the return of the warming allspice pumpkin beer Squash Gourdon (made using produce from Thistle Farms) and the Mr. Bloggins Dark Mild, a dark British style ale with a new world twist of citrus hop aromas combined with dark roasted malt flavours.
Iron Road Brewing
Iron Road Brewing is bringing a true blue Aussie sunshine to your glass. The Aussie IPA is an aggressively hopped IPA full of passionfruit, grape, citrus, peach and pineapple notes. It's a simple malt backbone that's designed and brewed to let the Aussie hops - Australian Galaxy, Enigma and Bic. Secret Hops - shine!
Bright Eye Brewing
"Now this is a story all about how this beer got flipped-turned upside down. In West Chilliwackia, born and raised, on a hop farm is where they spent most of their days." - Bright Eye Brewing. The Fresh Prince IPA is brewed yearly during hop harvest time in September with fresh BC hops from Chilliwack. This brew is direct farm to brewery as the hops are added to the beer within a few hours of harvest. Look out for other limited edition flavours on tap like their Sour Tropic Topic (Passionfruit Guava Sour) and Bright Mandarina (Pale Ale w/ Mandarina Bavaria).
Noble Pig Brewhouse
Take your mind off of work, school, and any other responsibilities because the BETTER THAN HOMEWORK - Double Dry Hopped IPA at the Noble Pig Brewhouse is back (Oct 6)! This 7.2% ABV and 50 IBUs brew was made with big doses of Citra and Mosaic to blend into an aromatic bouquet of delicious citrus and tropical fruits. Don't forget to indulge in their new This Butternut Be Another Pumpkin Ale - pumpkin spice infused ESB dropping October 1 just in time for BC Craft Beer Month.
Alchemy Brewing Company
Fruity flavours bring fall to Alchemy Brewing Company. Try their new Hop Topic, a NEIPA with a soft feel and low IBU. Not only is this brew tropical fruit centric, but it's also dry hopped with Altus and Idaho 7 hops.
