Fall flavours make the most of late season fruit and the last drops of sunshine, combined with heartier and heavier notes that create cozy seasonal sips. Explore wide-open spaces in Kamloops outdoors then head inside to these five breweries for a warm welcome and a cold beer.

Red Collar Brewing Co.

New for fall at Red Collar Brewing, the citrusy Inflorescence Agave Saison and the floral [Your Father Smelt Of] Elderberry Sour offerings are now available. Additional favourite fall seasonals include the warming allspice pumpkin beer Squash Gourdon (made using produce from Thistle Farms) and the fresh hop brew Hop Comet Hazy Fresh Hopped Pale Ale (made with fresh hops from Bredenhof Hop Farms in Abbotsford) following later in the fall. Look out for an Apricot Sour coming soon to round out the season. Brewed in the Berliner Weisse style, this cloudy wheat beer was fermented with, and aged on, Kamloops-picked apricots.

Iron Road Brewing

Hanging onto the last bit of summer sun, the new Pink Guava Juice Train is Iron Road Brewing's latest in a series of sour saisons that use rotating fruits. The final Juice Train of the year features pink guava in a refreshing fruity sour that is the final sip of summer.

Bright Eye Brewing

With the return of the colder weather, comes the return of chocolatey stouts, including a malt-forward sweet and roasty option, and a Jammin' Raspberry Stout. Look out for limited edition fresh hop harvest ales as, within hours of the harvest, Bright Eye Brewing will be brewing an IPA and a pale ale with hops brought directly from the farm to the brewery.

Noble Pig Brewhouse

Fall favourites are back at the Noble Pig Brewhouse including Heffalumps and Woozles, a cloudy German-style Hefeweizen made using a base of at least 50% wheat malt. Fermented with a traditional wheat ale yeast strain, this beer provides notes of banana and clove to complement the fresh bread flavour of the wheat. Coming later this season is the Sasquatch S.M.A.S.H, an India Pale Ale single malt and single hop brew designed to showcase Canada's first patented Sasquatch hops with a simple grain bill of 100% Canadian grown Pilsner malt. Papa G’s ESB is a fresh batch of award-winning extra special bitter, which is English style and brewed to have a delicious balance between European malts and smooth hop bitterness.

Alchemy Brewing Company

Fruity flavours and smoky sips bring fall to Alchemy Brewing Company. Try the Tangerine Wheat Ale brewed with Kveik yeast and fermented on tangerines, or the Smoked Porter, which has been brewed using crystal and chocolate malts, as well a touch of smoked malt to add subtle campfire notes. Get fruity with a plum sour that features fruit from the family’s plum tree and fresh Centennial hops grown in Kamloops.

Whatever whets your whistle this fall, you’re sure to find it at one of Kamloops’ cozy breweries as the days get shorter and it’s time to head indoors.
