A Free Concert in the Park every night in July & August. [We had them at Free]
When we found the Arbour family heading out of their downtown hotel to find a quick dinner, we swooped in with a challenge too good to pass up. A picnic dinner provided by ACT Adventures Tours at Music in the Park, a free nightly concert downtown Kamloops which happens in July & August. The family of 5 (+ Auntie) was in Kamloops from St. Albert, Alberta. They were a little nervous when we asked if they would be willing to spend a few hours with three strangers but it didn't take long before we were all laughing. While enjoying some modern bluegrass, we dined on ACT's picnic basket which features salads and wraps from BeTeased. We also enjoyed cookies and additional snacks from The Art We Are café and The Happy Camper food truck (Wednesday nights at Music in the Park feature food trucks). Great conversations were had by all and there was even some square dancing lessons by our very own cowgirl, Tara.
A huge thank you to the Arbour family for being boldly unscripted and joining us on a spontaneous evening in Kamloops.
