Get Ready to Celebrate Sports Day in Canada!

Kamloops, B.C. – Let’s ‘Get Out and Play’ this November for the love of sport! The City of Kamloops is showing its support for sport by joining schools, organizations and communities across the country in celebrating RBC Sports Day in Canada.

Presented by ParticipACTION, CBC and True Sport, RBC Sports Day in Canada is a great chance to celebrate the power of sport and all it can do for families, communities and our national pride. On Saturday, November 21st from 9:00 am to 12 noon at the Tournament Capital Centre Fieldhouse, you’re invited to participate in a variety of free activities.

Ever wanted to try out Bubble Soccer? What about Wheelchair Basketball? Sports Day in Canada will give you the opportunity to check out these activities and more, including Table Tennis, PacificSport KidZone and SNAG Golf.

Other activities taking place around town in celebration of Sports Day include:

On Saturday, November 21st, the Sun Rays Synchronized Swimming Club will host an open house from 9:00 am to noon at the Canada Games Pool. Kamloops Squash Association will also be hosting free introductory squash sessions at No Limits Fitness (registration recommended, contact 250-314-9600 for further information).

Kamloops Long Blades Speed Skating Club is offering free classes from 6:30 to 7:30 pm on November 16th at the McArthur Island Sport Center. They’ll provide the equipment for you to come out and try Speed Skating. For more information visit www.sportsday.cbc.ca.
