Take the fun indoors for family adventures in Kamloops. Keep young minds and bodies active at one of these family-friendly spots where kids (big and small) can learn, play, and let off steam.
Jump360 Trampoline Park
Little ones that tend to be jumping off the walls in the winter can burn off some energy with a bounce around at Jump360. Let your older kids loose on the open sea of connected trampolines, or join them for some energetic fun in the two basketball dunk zones, foam pit, air pillow, battle beams, or dodgeball court. Little high flyers can play in the kiddie area for a gentler adventure.
Cliffside Climbing Gym
One of BC’s first climbing gyms, Cliffside Climbing Gym is owned by former Youth Canadian National Team climbers Sabrina and Simon Griffin. The brightly coloured climbing walls offer adventurous opportunities and drop-in bouldering fun for all the family.
Join the #BlazerNation and cheer on the city’s WHL hockey team. Take the family to a fast-paced game played by the winners of five WHL Championships and three Memorial Cups. Kids aged 4-12 can take part in a special Blueliner Breakfast twice a season to join the Blazers for breakfast, skate, and a behind-the-scenes tour.
Canada Games Aquatic Centre
Make a splash at the Canada Games Aquatic Pool, in the Tournament Capital Centre. Try the 1m, 3m, and 5m diving towers or take a swim in the 50m and 25m pools. Kids can enjoy the 210ft spiral water slide, the pelican slide, and waterfalls, while parents can soak in the two hot tubs, sauna, and steam room for a relaxing retreat. NOTE: Closed Dec 13-26.
The Fun! Factor Family Fun Centre
Get ready for a seriously fun time with the family - from laser tag to a retro arcade and roller coaster simulator, the Fun Factor Family Centre is jam-packed with activities including a laser maze, mini bowling, and spin-zone bumper cars. Buy a Fun Card (instead of tokens) for the arcade and ticket games and be prepared for a loud and joyous time.
Whether you take a dip or scale new heights, there are plenty of family-friendly indoor adventures to enjoy in Kamloops this winter.
