Kamloops is a growing wine destination. The first winery opened here in 2012 and over the last 6 years, has grown to include 175 acres under vine, four wineries producing award-winning varietals, and a Kamloops Wine Trail that is quickly attracting the attention of wine aficionados. Here you can skip the crowds, embrace the local hospitality, and explore one of BC’s top emerging wine regions.

Harper's Trail Winery

Harper's Trail Winery was the first winery to open in Kamloops, proving that grapes could not only grow but flourish, in this region of BC. Named after the cattle drive “trail” of pioneer rancher, Thaddeus Harper, this winery sticks to its western roots. Take a seat on their patio and sip on the 2017 Cabernet Franc or Pioneer Block Riesling while taking in panoramic views of the unique hoodoo landscape that Kamloops is known for. If you find yourself in town on a Friday, pack a picnic and kick-off the weekend while listening to local musicians belt out tunes at Field Blend Friday.
