With the arrival of warmer weather, photos have been flooding in of people exploring Kamloops! Here is a look of some of our top posts for April 2016!

Guest Writer and Photographer, Doug Smith, produced a wonderful Blog on our website on the Top 5 Unique Hikes in Kamloops. We posted the blog on our Facebook Page which reached over 13,300 people and was shared 42 times!

Seekers Media - Social Media Workshop

On April 1st Seekers Media, in partnership with TELUS Optik, came to Kamloops to host their Social Media Workshop! We were joined by some of our stakeholders for a day full of valuable information on how to start connecting and engaging with your audience in a meaningful way.

Here is a breakdown of the speakers we heard from and the content we learnt during the worksop:

Video Production with @ApresWheeler - Chris Wheeler discussed the best tips for shooting video, YouTube, and empowering your network. He’s been a supplier of video and social media content for Destination British Columbia and Destination Canada for more than six years.

Photo production with @PhotoJBartlett - Jeff Bartlett delivered photo tips and tricks that help you increase your Instagram followers, and offered other social media distribution tips. (Bartlett has grown his Instagram following from 200 people to 140,000 in two years.)

Social Media Strategy tips with @Miss604- Rebecca Bollwitt offered strategy tips and tricks for building your Twitter and Facebook accounts. She’s a Vancouver-based influencer with more than 70,000 followers on Twitter and receives huge readership on her blog.
