Fall in love with new flavours, celebrate old favourites, and discover new adventures this October in Kamloops. Cozy up with warming dishes over heart-warming success stories from the community.

Fuel up with fresh fusion foods

Fall brings an abundance of fresh produce and the new fully redesigned menu at Harvest by Nandi celebrates this bounty with new additions and elevated favourites. Chef Nandi Spolia is featuring new specialty Indian foods that you can't find anywhere else such and the ‘Western’ part of the menu has also had a makeover. Now inspired by seasonal local ingredients,  the focus is on offering more unique flavours like fried sage, as well as fusion foods including a tandoori fried chicken sandwich and mint-infused beurre blanc sauce.

Welcome back winter visitors

Reconnect with old friends and welcome new ones with a return to testing-free and mask-free travel and more flights to Calgary and Vancouver. Talk about well-connected people! Flights to both YVR and YYC take under an hour and Kamloops Airport has you connected to over 100 destinations via WestJet and Air Canada.  WestJet Link’s new daily service to Vancouver is providing even more options for travellers connecting through YVR for fall and winter adventures.

Cheer on local talent

Warm your heart with tales of future stars shining bright in Kamloops. Sports fans can check out up-and-coming national soccer stars at the U SPORTS Men’s Soccer Championships this November hosted by Thompson Rivers University (TRU). The TRU WolfPack will be fighting for the title of national champion - and one Wolfpack athlete is set to be a future tourism champ too!
Fourth year Tourism Management student Steffen Masaites created ShredLoops, a mountain bike touring company, during his time at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) as part of an Experience Creation and Product Development course. Steffen, a keen footballer and mountain biker, had the opportunity to participate in the tourism venture acceleration program and turn his school project into a potential business. Along the way he learned about aspects of responsible tourism such as the relationship between trail building and trail development for First Nations communities within BC.

Catch Steffen and ShredLoops on the trails of Kamloops — and watch the TRU WolfPack kick-off the U SPORTS Men’s Soccer Championship, held at Hillside Stadium, November 10 – 13, 2022.
