As the Tournament Capital of Canada, Kamloops will be buzzing with events throughout July. From sports tournaments to charming markets and performing arts festivals, get ready to immerse yourself in a month filled with fun and unforgettable experiences in Kamloops.
Starting July 1 | Music In The Park: Experience the enchanting atmosphere of Riverside Park in July and August with the city's free, nightly summer concert series. Supported by the City of Kamloops and BCLC, this exciting event showcases diverse musical genres, including blues, rock, classics, country, tribute bands, and family-friendly acts (See the full Schedule here). Take in the captivating performances at the Riverside Park Rotary Bandshell from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each evening, considering that shows are subject to weather and air quality conditions.
July 3 - 6 | Kamloops Rock n Gem Showat the Kamloops Curling Club: The Kamloops Curling Club is the place to be for four jam-packed days of gem-hunting, fossil-finding fun. With over 400 tables of dazzling treasures from around the world, you’re bound to stumble on something amazing. Meet passionate vendors, swap stories with fellow rockhounds, and dig into the adventure — it’s a gem of a weekend you don’t want to miss!
July 4th + 18th | Privato Winery's Music in the Vineyard Series: Privato’s Music in the Vineyard summer series is back, offering unforgettable evenings of live music and award-winning wines in their gorgeous garden setting. Relax under the open sky with a glass in hand as the sun sets over the vines and talented artists take the stage. This July, catch Daniel Wesley on July 4 and Jeremy Kneeshaw on July 18. July 8 - 26 | Project X Theatre Under the Trees: Join Project X in celebrating their 20th anniversary season at Prince Charles Park downtown. This summer's Theatre Under the Trees runs from July 8th to 26th featuring two plays: Thumbelina and The Emperor's New Threads
July 12 | Kamloops Highland Games: Enjoy a full day of highland dance, piping and drumming competitions, Scottish heavy athletics, clan tents, kids’ activities, and more. Dig into tasty eats, sip something cold in the beer garden, and shop unique finds from local vendors. It’s tradition, competition, and celebration—all in one high-energy festival the whole family can enjoy!
July 12 | Summer Chrome on the Grass Car Show: Enter your ride for just $20 and compete for a Top 10 Award or the fan-favourite People’s Choice. Spectator entry is by donation, with all proceeds supporting the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation Pediatric Ward — over $18,000 was raised in 2024! Expect 50/50 draws, raffles, food trucks, and fun for all ages. KSRA thanks Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc for hosting this event on their traditional, ancestral, unceded territory.
July 12-13 | Twin Rivers Strengthfest at Sandman Centre: This two-day powerhouse event showcases top athletes in epic strongman and powerlifting competitions—from yoke carries to log lifts and axle bar presses. Expect big lifts, bigger energy, and an electric atmosphere full of strength, camaraderie, and community. Don’t miss Kamloops’ strongest weekend of the year!
July 18 | Monte Creek Winery's Summer Night Market: Similar to their well-known Holiday Markets, these outdoor gatherings will include a variety of vendors, from local businesses with creative and unique merchandise to artisans with hand-made products to delicious food vendors with mouth-watering delights! Each market will also include live music and other activities located around the winery. The tasting room will also be open during the market hours for attendees to shop, sip, and enjoy.
July 19 | Candlelight Concert Series at the Paramount Theatre: Experience the magic of candlelight concerts in Kamloops for the first time! On July 19 at the Paramount Theatre, enjoy unforgettable live music in a glowing, intimate setting: Coldplay vs. Imagine Dragons at 6pm and Queen vs. ABBA at 8:30pm. July 24 - 27 | International Buskers Festival: Get ready to be amazed at the 5th Annual Kamloops International Buskers Festival from July 25 to 28 at Riverside Park. Experience awe-inspiring performances from around the world by acrobats, magicians, jugglers, musicians, and more. Enjoy free admission, savour delicious food from local food trucks, and join the unforgettable celebration of art, music, and entertainment.
July 25 | Music at Monte Creek Winery: Back by popular demand, Music at Monte Creek Winery returns for 2025 with four concerts from June to September. Grab a ticket bundle for one or two and save on all four shows — the perfect way to sip, relax, and enjoy a full season of music in the vines.
July 27 - August 3rd | Kamloops International Cup: The International Cup returns to Kamloops this summer, bringing two Premier League academy teams to Hillside Stadium! Arsenal U21 Women and Nottingham Forest U21 Men make their Canadian debut with six matches against local teams from July 27 to August 3.
