Overlander Beach Park: Located at the meeting point of the North and South Thompson rivers on the North Shore, Overlander Beach Park stands as the largest beach in the Kamloops core during the summer.   5. Bruker Marina: This private marina on Kamloops lake is accessible to the public and features a sandy beach, boat launch, fuel dock, convenience store, restaurant, and motor-sport rentals. For a $20 per vehicle fee, visitors can enjoy the beach, boat launch, and play area.

  6. Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park: Located approximately 30 minutes south of Kamloops, Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park offers a picturesque beach along the shores of Lac Le Jeune. It presents opportunities for swimming, fishing, and canoeing.

  • Beginning May 31st | NorthPaws Baseball: the Kamloops NorthPaws have 27 home games to make those iconic summer nights even better. The team roster includes NCAA Division 1 and 2 players along with local talent, which means the NorthPaws are officially serving up the highest calibre of baseball Kamloops has ever seen.   • June & July | Kamloops Rivers Football Club: Experience the thrill of home games at Hillside Stadium on select dates throughout June and July for the Rivers FC Home games. Rivers FC is a proud founding member of the League1 BC soccer league and the first and only semi-pro club in the province's interior.   • June 21 | National Indigenous Peoples Day at the Arbour: Visit the Special Events Facility (the Arbour) within Secwepemcúl’ecw from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm as T'kemlups celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day in style! Delight your senses with a feast from food trucks, immerse yourself in the rhythms of traditional drumming and singing, and witness captivating performances by dancers. Plus, prepare to be mesmerized by an awe-inspiring aerial light show and much more throughout the day!

  • June 22 | Country Wild at the BC Wildlife Park: Save the date, because on June 22, 2024, the BC Wildlife Park's amphitheatre will be alive with the sounds of Country Wild! Get ready for an unforgettable evening featuring the chart-topping The Washboard Union and a lineup of special guests that'll have you dancing through the evening. All proceeds of Country Wild 2024 will help develop an inclusive playground, fostering play-based learning for all children amidst the backdrop of British Columbia's stunning wildlife.   • June 28-30 | Kamloopa Powwow: Get ready to celebrate 3 days of vibrant Indigenous Culture! The Kamloopa Powwow Society is honoured to host the 43rd annual Kamloopa Powwow taking place June 28-30, 2024 at the beautiful Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc Special Events Facility (the Arbour) within Secwepemcúl’ecw. With an estimated 500 dancers and drummers from all across Canada and the United States, the Powwow brings people together to celebrate Indigenous Culture, lift spirits, and honour the personal pride of First Nations and share their beautiful culture and territory with the world. Attendees can expect to enjoy amazing drumming and dancing, colourful regalia, great food, and shopping at the artisan vendor booths. Tickets will be available for purchase at the gate.

  • June 28-29 | Kamloopa Indian Days: Get your tickets for this fun, fast-paced, family-friendly show featuring Indian Relay Racing and Bull Riding. The Kamloopa Powwow Society has teamed up with the Elite Relay Association, Kamloops Race Central and S&E Bucking Bulls to bring you two exciting days filled with thrilling shows, food, drinks and fun for all ages.
