Kamloops Art Gallery

Connect and learn about art at the Kamloops Art Gallery with their new exhibition on display until July 3, Soundings: An Exhibition in Five Parts. This traveling exhibition is curated by Candice Hopkins and Dylan Robinson, and includes the work of 18 artists with many of the artworks changing throughout the course of the exhibition. The scores take form of beadwork, videos, objects, graphic notation, historical belongings and written instructions, and are then activated at specific moments by musicians, dancers, performers and members of the gallery. Soundings is a cumulative, ever-changing, and shared experience. The KAG is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm with free admission on Thursdays courtesy of BCLC. The Gallery Store also offers unique and intriguing gifts and art merchandise.

Kamloops Museum & Archives

Immerse yourself in Kamloops' history and culture at the Kamloops Museum & Archives. Explore the stories behind some of the Museum's favourite small and large artifacts - from a fur trade cabin to a local mascot - allowing guests to dive deeper into the connection to Kamloops. Tours are $45 for 1-hr, maximum 5 people. Be sure to also register in advance for the Museum's Culture Kids, a FREE weekly virtual program on Friday mornings where you can learn about different cultures through stories and caregiver-assisted crafts. Open Tuesday - Saturday from 9:30am - 4:30pm.

Kamloops Film Society

Grab your popcorn and fave movie snacks, the Twin Rivers Drive-In returns for its second year at McArthur Island Park. Relive your childhood dreams as you enjoy a movie under the stars from the comfort of your vehicle every Friday and Saturday night this summer. Plan ahead and purchase your tickets in advance. Private movie bookings are also back at Paramount Theatre for family night or date night with your bubble. Prices start at $150+ GST.

Back Alley Art Gallery Tour

Take a self-guided tour of over 30 distinct art murals located in downtown Kamloops. Grab a cup of joe from a coffee shop and admire the eclectic collection from local artists that depict scenes of wildlife, history, and culture. Murals are also popping up at McDonald Park on the North Shore with more to come soon.
