Kamloops Art Gallery

Connect and learn about art at the Kamloops Art Gallery with their newest exhibition on display October 2 - December 21, 2021 - Injustice & Identity by Jana Sasaki. The exhibition includes early photo and text-based works from the Kamloops Art Gallery’s collection that address the history of Japanese internment and the complexities of Jana's family’s mixed-race or Hapa identity. Be sure to also check out the exhibition on display in the Central Gallery - Whose Stories? by various artists. The KAG is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm with free admission on Thursdays courtesy of BCLC. The Gallery Store also offers unique and intriguing gifts and art merchandise.

Western Canada Theatre

Western Canada Theatre (WCT) welcomes audiences home to the theatre with an exciting new season, starting November 2021. WCT’s 2021/22 Season includes two musicals featuring iconic songs and stories, two inspiring and exuberant plays, three World Premieres from bold and diverse female creators, and a special dance presentation from a nationally-renowned Indigenous arts company. Immerse yourself in Kamloops' history and culture at the Kamloops Museum & Archives. From September 25, 2021 - March 11, 2022 you can learn from the newest exhibit Collective Memories: Japanese Canadian Reflections. This exhibition shares memories and reflections from the local Japanese Canadian community and explores broader issues of history and identity. Open Tuesday - Saturday from 9:30am - 4:30pm.
