Where To Get a Scoop (or two, or three) in Kamloops
Summer in Kamloops means one thing on repeat: ice cream. Whether you're cooling off after a hike, wandering downtown, or just looking for an excuse to walk to the river, we've got no shortage of spots slinging soft serve, gelato, and scoops. Here's where to go when the craving hits.
Scoopz Ice Cream Parlour
A true Kamloops staple, Scoopz has been the go-to for locals craving a classic scoop for years, and this summer, they've made it even easier to get your fix with a brand new location at Chief Louis Crossing, joining their original spot. The more the merrier, right?
Expect the classic ice cream shop experience: a huge menu of flavours, generous scoops, and that nostalgic hometown feel we've all come to know and love.
The Ice Cream Social
In the heart of The Shore, The Ice Cream Social has quickly become a favourite for anyone looking for a fun, feel-good stop. Great for groups, families, or anyone who wants their cone with a side of good vibes. Their funky monkey and orange float are must-trys, and keep an eye out for their cute-as-can-be ice cream truck that makes it way around the city!

La Diperie
For something a little different, La Diperie puts a playful spin on soft serve...dipping each cone in a hard-shell coating and loading it up with toppings, so every visit turns into a build-your-own creation. It's as fun to watch as it is to eat, and a great stop if you're after something a bit more elevated from the traditional ice cream.

Rem and Ry's Rollery
Keep an eye out for this one..Rem and Ry's Rollery, an ice cream truck out of Abbotsford, has been rolling into Kamloops all summer, setting up shop at Riverside Park and Albert McGowan, as well as other spots around town! They specialize in rolled ice cream, made fresh to order right in front of you, so it's as much a show as it is a treat. A fun one to catch if you happen to be in the right place at the right time.
Honourable Mention: Frozen Paddle
A longtime local favourite, Frozen Paddle is currently closed for renovations..but keep them on your radar. We'll update this post as soon as they're back open and scooping.
However you take yours - classic scoop, rolled fresh, or dipped and loaded with toppings - Kamloops has a spot (or five) ready to cool you down this summer. So next time the heat hits, skip the debate and just make it a two-scoop kind of day. You've earned it.
