Through a series of digital illustrations, Johnson examines the fear and uncertainty that often come with discovering one's heritage later in life and its connection to familiar experiences and art. The sandy color palette of the digital works serves to evoke a sense of being in a desert, a significant landscape to the Jewish people, while each piece incorporates a piece of Judaism in an unexpected way, challenging traditional notions of Jewishness.

In addition to modern and spiritual themes, the show also incorporates supernatural narratives as a way of understanding culture, creating a space for dialogue and inclusivity. By inviting people to learn more about cultures they may not understand, Johnson aims to foster a greater understanding of diverse cultures.
