Casting for a Cause Fishing Derby at Bruker Marina on Kamloops Lake

Welcome to the 3nd Annual Casting For A Cause Fishing Derby!

The 3rd Annual Casting For A Cause Fishing Derby returns to Bruker Marina on Kamloops Lake on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 7:00am–4:00pm. The event supports the Kamloops Brain Injury Association and is expected to welcome more than 200 participants this year.

A kickoff registration and gear pickup party will take place Friday, June 19 at 5:30pm at Match Eatery & Public House. Derby participants can pick up shirts, official fish measuring sticks, participation goodies, and take part in prize draws, 50/50s, squares boards, and more.

This year’s derby features Rainbow Trout ONLY. Shore fishing is allowed, however dock fishing is prohibited for safety reasons. No fishing license is required during Father’s Day weekend.

Prizes include a $5,000 9’ Journey Boat Package for 1st place, $2,000 cash for 2nd, and $500 cash for 3rd. Kids ages 15 and under can also win prize packages.

Registration is $50 per adult (includes shirt) and $25 for kids ages 15 and under.
