Echoes of the Homesick Heart is a powerful verbatim theatre project that explores one Secwépemc family’s intergenerational journey through language, culture, and community—guided by the trickster figure, Sek̓lép (coyote). Developed from over 40 interviews by Laura Michel across Secwépemc territory, the piece brings real voices and lived experiences to the stage, bridging generations from youth to elders.

Rooted in reciprocity and cultural revitalization, it reflects a commitment to responsible, community-driven research.
