Celebrate five years of music, culture, and community at Music for the People – A Cultural Experience, an award-winning concert dedicated to bringing Indigenous and non-Indigenous voices together through music, connection, and reconciliation. Taking place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc Powwow Arbour, this special fifth-anniversary event will feature performances by the Kamloops Symphony, Sage Hills Singers, Drummers and Dancers, Margit Bandura, Henry Small, and internationally acclaimed headliners Spiritual Warriors. Guests can also explore the Music for the People Artisan Market, open from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, showcasing traditional Indigenous art and crafts. The free, family-friendly event runs from 6:30 PM to 8:15 PM and continues its mission of fostering cultural understanding, healing, and reconciliation while honouring the legacy of co-founder Rod “Little Sky” Bandura. Attendees will also learn about the Rod Littlesky Bandura Music Scholarship, which supports aspiring Indigenous musicians with an instrument of their choice and one year of music lessons. Donations in support of the Music for the People Society will be accepted at the event.
