Play Proud: Intro to Longsword

Learn the fundamentals of longsword combat with trained instructors from Lynx Armizare at this free monthly sport meet-up for 2SLGBTQIA+ community members and allies. Taking place on July 20 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hal Rogers Centre in Albert McGowan Park, this beginner-friendly session introduces participants to the Italian martial tradition of Fiore dei Liberi-style longsword training. Open to ages 13 and up, the program provides a welcoming environment to explore historical swordplay techniques while connecting with the community. Registration is required, and waivers must be signed upon arrival. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian co-sign their waiver.
