The BIG Pitch 2026 - Where Entrepreneurs Take Center Stage

The BIG Pitch is back—and bigger than ever.

After an incredible inaugural year, The BIG Pitch returns to champion the growth and innovation of early-stage entrepreneurs across the Thompson Country region. Designed to support founders at a pivotal moment in their journey, this year's event builds on the momentum of year one with even more opportunities, resources, and impact.

Entrepreneurs will compete for the $10,000 Grand Prize, generously co-sponsored by Venture Kamloops, while the People's Choice Award, sponsored by Avid ActionCOACH, offers dedicated mentorship hours to support the winner's next steps. New additions this year include a Headshot Zone, courtesy of Tourism Kamloops, providing complimentary professional headshots, and pre-pitch public speaking preparation, made possible by Acacia Pangilinan on behalf of the Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce.

The BIG Pitch begins with a closed-door pitch round in which participants present their business ideas to a panel of experienced judges. Five finalists advance to the live pitch event, presenting on stage before judges and a live audience, who also vote for the People's Choice Award. Alongside the pitches, a Business Support Services Tradeshow connects entrepreneurs with local and regional organizations offering guidance, tools, and resources.

Open to entrepreneurs and small business owners from Kamloops, Sun Peaks, Westwold, Vavenby, Pritchard, McLure, Little Fort, Clearwater, Chase, Blue River, Barriere, and Avola, The BIG Pitch is more than a competition; it's a celebration of entrepreneurship, collaboration, and bold ideas across the region.
