Join The Kamloops film Society at the Paramount Theatre for a very special, Sensory-Friendly Screening of 'The Iron Giant'.
In the small town of Rockwell, Maine in October 1957, a giant metal machine befriends a nine-year-old boy and ultimately finds its humanity by unselfishly saving people from their own fears and prejudices.
Designed for individuals who benefit from a more relaxed cinema environment, this event creates an inclusive and welcoming movie experience for children, youth, and families.
Sensory Friendly Screenings are designed to better accommodate individuals with diverse sensory needs;
Lowered audio
Less dimmed lights
Ability to move around more freely compared to a traditional movie cinema
The atmosphere is welcoming and judgment-free, allowing families to attend in the way that feels most comfortable.
In partnership with Canucks Autism Network (CAN) and Social Butterflies.
