Kamloops Shows Up Strong at CITAP+ Hidi Nishi Summer Event

Tourism Kamloops hit the road this July, joining forces with key partners to shine a spotlight on Kamloops at the CITAP+ Hidi Nishi Summer Event in Richmond.
Representing the region’s tourism industry, Destination Development & Travel Trade Specialist Jada Glen met face-to-face with tour operators during the marketplace portion of the event on July 16, delivering a powerful message: Kamloops is ready to welcome more group and FIT travellers.
Together with representatives from PHI Hotel Group, Rocky Mountaineer, and RZH Hotel group, Kamloops’ presence made a strong impression. From showcasing our wide-open landscapes and four-season adventure to sharing stories of local brews, eats, and culture, Jada helped connect Kamloops’ offerings with the needs and interests of international operators.
Jada also joined a FAM tour to explore Richmond’s attractions, Lulu Island Winery and Lavenderland, and connect more informally with tour operators—laying the groundwork for future partnerships and program inclusion.
Events like CITAP offer invaluable face time with receptive trade, supporting our long-game strategy to increase Kamloops’ visibility and year-round appeal in international markets. Thanks to all our partners for helping us represent Kamloops with energy and collaboration.
