The Kamloops Heritage Railway operates the 1912 steam locomotive 2141, lovingly restored over an eight-year period with over 80,000 hours of volunteer labour.  Enjoy a behind-the-scenes, up-close tour of the 2141 in the backshop tour. Guests step back into history as they walk through the train, visit the unique café lounge and explore the restored caboose. Climb into the engineer’s seat for a unique photo opportunity, and if there is a little steam left, pull the whistle! The 2141 is a working train, so there is always the chance to meet one of the engineers or dedicated maintenance crew while the engine is undergoing weekly maintenance.
