For Immediate Release

July 8, 2021 – The Luv’n the Loops Passport just gets better. For 2021/2022, we are bringing a new punch to this award-winning program. The digital and interactive passport experience has been enhanced to be delivered directly to your mobile device. And back by popular demand, Kids Picks has been added to the program – offering family-friendly, kid approved experiences.

With a commitment to seamless customer experiences, swift connections to participating businesses, and enticing promotions and offers, the Luv’n the Loops Passport is one of the most engaging tools to help visitors and residents explore Kamloops this year. The program will run for the coming 12 months, completing June 30th, 2022, and welcomes back local favourite hot spots while introducing new experiences for enhanced exploration.

“This year’s program has been re-energized by new technology delivering the digital passport to visitors and residents once they have registered an account,” notes Monica Dickinson Director of Industry Relations & Communications for Tourism Kamloops. “The passport will be sent by text or email to your smart phone or tablet, can be saved as an app, and is accessible throughout the city as you shop, dine, and tour. Each year we have learned so much about new technology, improving customer experiences, and refining the connections to participating businesses.”

To participate, visit luvntheloops.com, create an account, receive your passport on your mobile device, and then start accessing great discounts and incentives at participating locations. There are currently 22 locations enrolled with more being added in the coming months and seasons. For 2021/2022, a $25,000 marketing budget will support passport promotions targeting visitors arriving in Kamloops and residents throughout the city.

“We are excited to incorporate Kids Picks into this year’s program. Formerly a brochure with coupons, the Kids Picks section features family-friendly, kid-approved experiences,” adds Dickinson. “It was particularly popular for visiting sports teams and families visiting friends and relatives, and now we can offer it using new technology in tandem with this successful program.”

Resident advocacy and ambassadorship remain a priority for Tourism Kamloops. The Luv’n the Loops Digital Passport continues to be an important tool to connect Kamloopsians with our tourism experiences in addition to supporting Kamloops businesses.
