Press Release - Tourism Kamloops Launches 2026 Resident Sentiment Survey
Annual survey asks Kamloops residents to share their perspective on tourism.
For Immediate Release
Kamloops, B.C. — May 14, 2026 — Tourism Kamloops has opened its 2026 Resident Sentiment Survey this month, once again asking Kamloops residents to share how tourism is affecting life in their city.
The annual survey is part of how Tourism Kamloops stays accountable to the community it serves. Rather than making assumptions about what residents want from tourism, the organization uses this direct feedback to shape the strategies and priorities that guide its work. This year's survey asks residents to reflect on tourism's role across a range of community themes, including the economy, public spaces, infrastructure, cultural life, and community well-being, while capturing how perspectives may have shifted over the past year.
"We ask these questions because the answers genuinely matter to us," says Lisa White, Director of Community Development and Engagement at Tourism Kamloops. "Tourism that works for Kamloops has to work for the people who live here. This survey helps us stay honest about whether we're delivering on that."
Residents may receive a call from a polling firm this month as part of the research process. Calls are made at random and participation is encouraged. The survey takes only a few minutes to complete, and an online option will also be available for those who prefer to respond that way.
