Tourism Kamloops is excited to introduce TasteMakers Kamloops, a fresh evolution of the beloved TasteAround concept, with a bigger vision for celebrating the flavours, creativity and people that make our city one of a kind.
Running from January 20 to February 7, 2027, TasteMakers Kamloops will bring our local culinary scene into the spotlight, inviting residents and visitors to discover new favourites, revisit familiar gems and experience Kamloops in a whole new way.
But We're Dreaming Beyond The Plate.
While this year's celebration will be rooted in incredible dining experiences and specially crafted three-course menus, TasteMakers is designed to grow into a signature annual winter festival that brings together food, drink, arts, culture and local experiences. Think creative collaborations, cocktail classes, long-table dinners, live performances, hands-on workshops and unexpected pairings that showcase the best of Kamloops.
It's about celebrating the chefs, makers, artists, entrepreneurs and local businesses who bring our community to life, while creating more reasons to get out, explore and connect during the winter months.
Be Part Of The First TasteMakers Kamloops!
We're inviting our local restaurant and accommodation partners to help bring this new celebration to life.
- For restaurants, it's an opportunity to showcase your culinary creativity with a specially crafted three-course menu priced between $25 and $75 per person, attract new customers and introduce more people to what makes your establishment special.
- For accommodation partners, it's a chance to turn a great meal into a memorable winter getaway. From overnight packages and dining collaborations to unique experiences that encourage visitors to stay a little longer, there's plenty of room to get creative.
And this is just the beginning! Our vision is to grow TasteMakers into a vibrant winter celebration that connects businesses, sparks collaboration and showcases the incredible talent and experiences found right here in Kamloops.
What Do We Need From You?
- $100 registration fee + GST
- 2 x $25 Gift Cards for the TasteMakers contest program.
- A feature photo of your restaurant (your food, atmosphere, etc.)
- Custom 3-course menu valued between $25 - $75
- We’ve created a basic menu template to help get you started. Feel free to use it as a starting point and customize it to suit your business.
- Your restaurant logo (EPS or SVG files preferred).

Tourism Kamloops is amping up our marketing for this foodie event, including the following commitments:
- $10,000+ in paid social media ads.
- Radio and media ads promoting TasteMakers.
- Local billboards promoting TasteMakers
- Organic social posts (minimum 2 in-feed posts and 4 stories; we will share TasteMakers content and any participating restaurant's content to stories where appropriate).
- Mentions in our January Things to Do blog, monthly newsletter to 14K+ subscribers, and weekly events newsletter throughout the event.
- Listing on our Events Calendar.
Accommodations Partners
Accommodation partners can take part in TasteMakers Kamloops by offering guests a special rate that encourages overnight stays, extends their visit and gives them even more reasons to experience Kamloops.
What Do We Need From You?
$50 registration fee + GST. *The $50 registration fee will be waived for accommodations with an on-site restaurant participating in TasteMakers Kamloops.*
A minimum of 20% off guest bookings during TasteMakers Kamloops (January 20 – February 7, 2027).
Guests must use the promo code TasteMakers26 when booking to receive the offer.
