Ride, Park, Explore
Exploring Kamloops by bike? We’ve partnered with the City of Kamloops Bike Valet Team to offer free and secure bike parking right at The Station. It’s our way of supporting sustainable tourism and giving cyclists peace of mind while they explore the city.
Meet the Team
We’re a seasonal crew of five, passionate about Kamloops and ready to share our favorite spots, stories, and suggestions.

Riverside Park

Wren
Wren is a tourism management student at TRU who loves figure skating, spending time with her friends, and exploring new places! She’s most excited to see Cornado back at the farmers’ market and music in the park this year. Her favourite thing to do in Kamloops is to be outside – hiking the trails, kayaking on the lakes, or hanging out at the beach, and Wren says a must-see experience in Kamloops is any of the wineries or breweries in town!
Forest
Forest was born and raised in Kamloops and has spent the last 26 years in town. He stays engaged in the local Kamloops scene through studies at TRU and any form of outdoor recreation (even if golf is more frustrating than fun sometimes). He’s most excited to dust off his mountain bike and spend days at the beach kayaking along the South Thompson River at sunrise. Forest’s must-see experience in Kamloops is to visit him and the other Roam Street Team members at The Station!
Hassan
Hassan is passionate about exploring new ideas, learning, and embracing diverse experiences, and loves volunteering because of the connection with people and positive community impact. He is proud to represent Kamloops on the Roam Street Team and is excited to explore local trails and lakes and even try out some fishing! Hassan is a true fan of Kamloops and couldn’t pick just one favourite thing about the city, so his list of favourites includes hiking, paddleboarding, visiting the Kamloops Farmers Market, and attending Kamloops events like Hot Nite in the City, though some must-see items on Hassan’s list include the BC Wildlife Park, Downtown Kamloops, lunch at the Yew Street Food Hall, and attending a Theatre Under the Trees show.
Alexandra
Alexandra is another Kamloops local, having lived in Kamloops her whole life! She’s a recent graduate of TRU’s Psychology program and hopes to go into a Master of Counselling program. She is passionate about movement and loves strength training, fitness classes, and hiking – her personal motto is “explore and evolve.” Alexandra thrives in the summer season and loves visiting the animals at the BC Wildlife Park, Little Farmer’s Zoo, and in nature at any local lake. She loves exploring local food attractions like Bright Eye Brewing (especially for the arcade), local fitness facilities (the views at the TCC are the best), and paddleboarding on Heffley Lake. Alexandra’s must-see suggestion is to stop in at Monte Creek or Privato Wineries for some award-winning wines.
Lenora
Lenora is a fourth-year psychology student at TRU and loves to sew and crochet, watch hockey, or head to a local bar for some trivia with friends in her downtime. She’s also a paddleboarder and is excited to spend her evenings paddling the beautiful lakes in the Kamloops region! Lenora’s favourite thing to do in Kamloops is walk through downtown on a Saturday morning to the Kamloops Farmers Market for a fresh snack and to browse the local artisan stalls. Lenora’s must-see suggestion is to visit the bears at the BC Wildlife Park – it’s a great place to build familiarity with local animals!
Meghan
Meghan works with Tourism Kamloops year-round and leads the Roam Street Team. She loves the warm spring weather in Kamloops and finding new hikes with her energetic pup. Meghan’s first experience in Kamloops was stopping for gas and lunch while driving from Golden to Vancouver, but after moving and settling in Kamloops, is excited to show people that Kamloops is more than just a stop on the highway! Please feel free to email Meghan to book the Roam Street Team at your event, or for questions about visitor servicing in Kamloops!
