Blackwell Dairy began operation in 1913 when Milton Blackwell moved from Vancouver to Kamloops (Barnhartvale). In 1983, a processing plant was built, then incorporated in 1986 and thus, Blackwell Dairy Farm Inc. was formed!
Today, Blackwell Dairy Farm runs a store year-round selling milk and beef products, as well as a farmer's market in the summer months.
