We're the Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge, and we're working to end donkey distress by rescuing and rehabilitating donkeys and mules in Western Canada. The Refuge is a registered Canadian Charity on a mission to provide a safe, secure and permanent home for neglected, abused, and unwanted donkeys. With the help of our donors, we rescue and support the donkeys in our care by providing a safe, clean, healthy, and comfortable forever home. Visitors to the Refuge during our open days in the summer will have the opportunity to visit with the Donkeys, learn about Donkey Care, the history of Donkeys in Canada, and interact with our resident Donkeys and Mules. In 2024, the Refuge is open to the public for drop in visits on Friday, Saturday & Sunday from May 3 to Sept 1st, 10:30am to 3:30pm, last entry 3:00pm.
