Who we are
The Street Team and Volunteer Visitor Ambassadors work remotely at popular locations throughout Kamloops to provide visitors and locals with information about Kamloops and resources to enhance your time in the city. Our team is comprised of tourism ambassadors with a passion for local attractions, special events, outdoor adventures, and more!

How we support locals
The Street Team and Volunteer Visitor Ambassadors are available year-round to ensure industry partners have relevant insight and tools they need to be able to create remarkable experiences for guests. Even outside of Kamloops’ summer season, our team pops up at local events to support locals and visitors alike with information and conversation. Our team is experienced, diverse, and can bring a new perspective to your views on the city. We’re also here to listen and understand how our locals feel and work with locals to further develop Kamloops local offerings.

Seasonal Visitor Centre
Between May 7 and August 31, 2025, stop by The Station at The Sandman Centre (300 Lorne Street) to connect with our seasonal visitor centre! The Station is not only our newest way of delivering visitor servicing, but also features games, giveaways, and the City of Kamloops Bike Valet!
Join us at The Station from 3pm-6pm on June 18th as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Tourism Kamloops with live music, food trucks, prizes, and more!

8:00am - 8:00pm Mondays through Saturdays, and 12:00pm - 7:00pm Sundays at The Sandman Centre (300 Lorne Street).
Keep an eye our for the Tourism Kamloops Jeep and our pop-up tent at local events and hotspots year-round!

Visitor Centre - CLOSED
The Kamloops Visitor Centre permanently closed in June of 2020. All outdoor facilities at the original Visitor Centre location (EV chargers, sani-dump station, dog run, and picnic benches) are city-run, and may or may not be available at the time of your visit. For more information, contact the City of Kamloops’ Civic Operations Department at 250-828-3461. Local information and public washrooms are available at Aberdeen Mall, located across the street from the original Visitor Centre address, at 1320 Trans-Canada Hwy.
