The Jungle Maze

Can you… DARE you… navigate and survive 8 acres of JUNGLE with just your headlamp and a handful of clues. You never know who is watching and why, with those glowing eyes in the dark! Meet characters from the Jungle Book and Jumanji in the DARK, while surrounded by 11- foot high corn and alfalfa up to your waist. Have some fun, come dressed up as a character from either movie. 4 months of growing for 12 hours of fun. We prepared the field, planted the seed, and let nature do the rest! Are you up for the challenge? This is a family-friendly event, we’d love for people to dress up and enter a contest each evening of best costume as a family and individual.

ZOMBIE WALK

If you love the living dead, and you have a great zombie costume, come and walk the downtown streets like a zombie. Kamloops Zombie Walk has been gaining popularity over the last few years, showcasing some of the best zombie wannabes around. BOO AT THE ZOO

The Nelson's Haunt For Humanity

October 25-31 | 7-11pm | Archibald Place, Westsyde | Family Friendly Version

Tickets: $5

A three-night, non-profit, family-run HAUNTED MAZE with scare actors, spooky scenes, and animatronic props. The maze will run Friday, October 25th, Saturday, October 26th, and Halloween Night October 31st. There will be a family-friendly version WITHOUT scared actors between 5 and 7pm on all three nights running. All of ARCHIBALD PLACE will turn into a BIG BLOCK PARTY on ALL three nights, serving food, hot chocolate, smores and more all free by donation. No entrance fee needed to enjoy the party. FIRE PITS and some seating will be provided. All proceeds go to Kamloops YM/YWCA's Battered Women and Children's Shelter.

Discover a new kind of escape room this Haloween. It’s WWII and tensions were high in the Maritimes. For the safety and security of Canada’s top code-breaking team, they’ve been split up and scattered all over the country. This way, if there is an attack, they won’t lose all the codebreakers at once. Sonya, Mary, and Elsa are not super happy to be roommates, but they’re figuring it out.

THE COONEY PAPERS - TUNNEL THEATRE

Charles and Betsy Cooney settled at Tranquille in 1868 with their two year old daughter Katherine. Together they forged an empire on the shores of Kamloops Lake. Over their lives, they built Canada’s largest horse herd, developed one of the finest ranches in BC, introduced BC apples to the Ontario market, and where the life of the community. Countless parties were held at the Cooney Ranch over the years.
The Cooney Papers chronicles the lives of Charles and Betsy from each of their births to the death of Charles in 1917. This innovative production combines video and live acting in front of a 36 foot curved screen set in front of the loading docks in the old Tranquille Laundry. This is a family friendly show.

We unpack 6,000 years of history and often have visitors contribute to the tour with their stories of connection to Tranquille. From the early fur trade to today’s ghost town, learn about the dramatic role Tranquille played over the years. You are welcome to take pictures on our tour. Tickets are $25.

A family-friendly event with food and drink, and pumpkin-smashing activities for all ages. Keep your pumpkins out of the landfill so they can be turned into compost.
