Charles and Betsy Cooney settled at Tranquille in 1868 with their two year old daughter Katherine. Together they forged an empire on the shores of Kamloops Lake. Over their lives, they built Canada’s largest horse herd, developed one of the finest ranches in BC, introduced BC apples to the Ontario market, and where the life of the community. Countless parties were held at the Cooney Ranch over the years.
The Cooney Papers chronicles the lives of Charles and Betsy from each of their births to the death of Charles in 1917. This innovative production combines video and live acting in front of a 36 foot curved screen set in front of the loading docks in the old Tranquille Laundry. This is a family friendly show.

OCTOBER 26 Halloween Howl Dance - Kamloops Pride

Join Kamloops Pride for a hauntingly good time at the Plaza Hotel to celebrate Halloween! Music by DJ Iain McKee. Costume contest around 10pm. The dance ends at midnight but head from the dance floor to the Tumbleweed Plaza Lounge to keep the party going!

OCTOBER 31 Rock n Roll Halloween Bash - The Blue Grotto

Come on down for a night of rock n roll on Halloween! with Old School and Let's Go! 19+ show! Dress up as your favourite rocker, metal god, music industry pro, etc and WIN PRIZES. Tickets $10 per person.

OCTOBER 25-26 & 31 Haunt for Humanity Haunted House - 3212 Archibald Place

This 3 night, non-profit, family-run HAUNTED MAZE with scare actors, spooky scenes, and animatronic props. Proceeds go to the Kamloops YM/YWCA's Battered Women and Children's Shelter. The maze will run Friday, October 25th, Saturday, October 26th, and Halloween Night, Thursday, October 31st. The Maze will be open to a younger crowd WITHOUT scare actors between 5pm and 7pm on all three nights. Maze entry is $5 per person.

OCTOBER 31 Halloween MIX - The Duchess

The monster mash will feature a sinister spectacle of eye-popping visuals lasers and huge bass system. Our annual Midnight Costume Contest featuring $500 in cash prizes to the winners. Also featuring the demonic dance music of DJ SYNCROMATIC and DJ PRTA. VIP Area and more featuring Special Bottle service prices. Tickets $10 at the door, $5 in Advance.
