Guest Ranches

Kamloops' guest ranches offer the thrill of authentic life on the ranch and some also include finer experiences like five-star dining, spas, and entertainment. Ranching remains a key industry in Kamloops and many working ranches keep western cowboy culture alive.

Campbell Hills Guest Ranch

As a small BC Horse Ranch, with about 16 to 18 guests per week, we make it a point to customize everyone’s vacation, trail riding and activities to each guest’s abilities. Guests have the opportunity to participate in natural horsemanship introductions, scenic trail rides, swimming with horses, wildlife viewing, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, archery, wagon rides and more. While there are plenty of things to do at Campbell Hills, horses are the centre of attention. Each guest is carefully paired with a ranch horse for the week. Our trail rides range from half days to all-day rides. You’ll find a variety of terrain from open meadows on the all-day ride to mountainous and forest trails close to the Ranch.

Quilchena Resort

The Guichon brothers left the grazing region of the Savoie in France and arrived in California in 1857. They immediately trekked north to Canada in pursuit of the Cariboo gold rush in British Columbia. When the rewards of prospecting became marginal, they pursued other interests which eventually led them to the ranching region of the Nicola Valley. Joseph, the youngest of the brothers, acquired ranch property in Quilchena and it was here that he decided to build the Quilchena Hotel.
