Beach & WaterfrontRiverside Park is home to Kamloops' most popular urban beach, offering plenty of space to stretch out on the sand, enjoy a picnic, swim in the Thompson River, or simply watch the water flow by. The waterfront pathways make it easy to explore the shoreline while taking in views of the river and surrounding hills. Stroll out along the park's pier for a unique perspective of the waterfront, a popular spot for photography, wildlife viewing, and taking in the scenery from the water's edge.
Swimming is permitted in the designated beach area only. Swimming is at your own risk. Lifeguards are present during the summer season but may not be on duty at all times. Visitors should be aware of river conditions, including strong currents, changing water levels, and sudden drop-offs.

In the summer, visitors can rent roller skates, paddleboards, and other paddle sport equipment to explore the park and riverfront.
