Golfing Best Practices
Our golf courses are open. Here are some social distancing best practices while enjoying a round of golf:
- Stay 2 metres (6 feet) from other people
- Do not share a cart with individuals outside of your family or others you are living with
- Do not remove the flagstick
- Minimize your time and don't linger in the clubhouse and respect the golf courses rules.
- Don’t handshake after the game.
- Stay home if you are feeling sick, especially if you are coughing or experiencing a fever
On the 7th hole of Tobiano Golf Course, intrepid golfers attempt to make a daunting tee shot over a vast canyon. Golf does not get much more exhilarating than this. Located on the site of the historic Six Mile Ranch, Tobiano offers exceptional golf in a unique setting. Nestled in the bluff s above Kamloops Lake, each hole offers exquisite views of the canyons and clear blue lake. Expect a golf course that is dramatic, picturesque and exciting.
Talking Rock Golf Course
The pride of the Little Shuswap Nation has rapidly become a mature and world-renowned course with a high level of play that leaves golfers eager to return. In fact, both novice and advanced players will discover many unique challenges.
The course meanders through a mature, sandy forest and finishes with a spectacular 18th hole along the shoreline of Little Shuswap Lake. Views from the upper holes are breathtaking. Be sure to bring your camera; panoramic views are available in all directions.
The Dunes’ fairways carve through what was once the riverbed of the North Thompson River, creating a feel like the links in Ireland. Wild fescue and wheatgrass line the meticulously maintained greens and truly make it Mother Nature’s golf course.
The Dunes boasts 6973 yards of playable course with the choice of four tees. The team at the Dunes look to make every experience incomparable from start to finish.
Eagle Point golf course
Located amongst the sandy hills east of the city, Eagle Point Golf Resort is one of the area’s most attractive courses featuring open, rolling terrain, and spectacular views at every turn.
Each hole is unique, inviting players to take a moment to pause and reflect on the task at hand.
Kamloops Golf Country +Country Club
Kamloops Golf & Country Club is Kamloops’ oldest, but newest, golf course! Redesigned to include the installation of new bent grass greens and fairways. In maintaining the undulating fairways framed with mature trees, this par 72 Championship course, is characterized by its easy walking, park-like setting.
Enjoy the abundance of bald eagles, ducks, and red-winged blackbirds, along with the occasional sightings of bear and deer.
Rivershore Estates + Golf Links
A course consisting of uncommon conditioning, challenges, and natural beauty, this par 72 course stretches seamlessly over a riverside landscape. Rivershore often plays host to numerous national and provincial championships.
Located in a desert-like setting at the foot of sagebrush-covered hills above the South Thompson River, the links-style course is honest, fair, generously bunkered. Rivershore is the recipient of Golf Digest’s 4 Star “Places to Play” honour.
Bighorn Golf + Country Club
Bighorn is one of the few “true” desert golf courses in Canada. Set among natural sage, rolling hills, bent grass fairways, gently contoured greens, and sweeping views of the Thompson Valley.
The par 71, 6714 yard golf course meanders in and around the residential community. Up to five tee boxes in strategic locations, views of the Thompson river valleys and the backdrop of majestic Mounts Peter and Paul provide the ideal setting for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy their game.
Sun Peaks Golf Course
A scenic 45-minute drive from Kamloops, Sun Peaks’ 18- hole, par 72 course is centred along the valley floor amongst the three surrounding mountains; Tod, Sundance, and Morrissey, and provides many risk/reward opportunities for all skill levels.
At 1,200 metres above sea level, the 6,400 yard course is B.C.’s highest elevation course and this elevation gain translates to both longer drives and cooler summer days.
Pineridge Golf Course
Nestled amongst the sagebrush banks and tall, stately pines of east Kamloops, Pineridge Golf Course is an 18-hole executive course located minutes from the downtown core.
With some of the best greens in the city, Pineridge is unique in design and offers its own set of distinctive challenges. The change in elevation affords players not only the opportunity to take exciting shots from the valley’s bottom, on natural bench lands, all while enjoying stunning views of the South Thompson River.
Mount Paul Golf Course
Located in the heart of downtown Kamloops, the exceptionally maintained par 32 executive course Kamloops resides at the base of Mount Paul. The course includes a driving range with 22 covered stalls, rental carts, and clubs plus a fully stocked Pro Shop staffed by PGA of B.C. Professionals. The licensed restaurant is open year-round and offers a covered patio during the summer months.
A scenic championship length 9-hole golf course featuring a challenging layout, rolling bent grass greens, and spectacular views, Chinook Cove is located 4 kilometres North of Barriere on Highway 5 and is equipped with 18 full-service pull-through RV sites.
