Electric Avenue

(Behind the Delta Hotel Kamloops)

The Electric Alley installation aligns with the city's alley activation initiative to revitalize overlooked spaces. By infusing the alley with light, a welcoming and safe environment is created for locals and visitors alike, encouraging exploration and community engagement. This transformation not only enhances the urban landscape but also symbolizes the city's commitment to progress and inclusivity.

This spot in history:

The Delta Hotel Kamloops, formerly known as the Stockman's Motor Hotel from the 1950s to the 1970s is nestled in the heart of Downtown Kamloops. The Stockman's Motor Hotel epitomized the frontier spirit and hospitality of the region. Its strategic location made it a bustling hub of activity, where locals gathered to share stories, conduct business, and celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of Kamloops. Over the years, the hotel transitioned through various incarnations, evolving alongside Kamloops' changing landscape. In 2018, it was rebranded as the Delta Hotel Kamloops, marking yet another chapter in its storied history. Today, it stands as a symbol of Kamloops' resilience and spirit of hospitality, welcoming visitors from far and wide to experience the warmth and charm of this vibrant community.
