When guests embark on a journey with Moccasin Trails, a local Indigenous Cultural Knowledge Keeper takes guests on the ancestral paths their people walked, has them taste the food they ate, sing the songs they sang, hear the stories that were passed down orally from generations ago, and travel down the rivers they canoed. In order to truly learn about the culture, Moccasin Trails provides an authentic touch, smell, sight, sounds, and feeling.
Water to Wine
Moccasin Trails has partnered with local winery Harper's Trail. The winery is situated along the Thompson River and allows the guests to start their experience with a unique excursion paddling down the South Thompson River, where they will learn about Indigenous history and culture from a local Indigenous Cultural Knowledge Keeper. At the end of the excursion guests are greeted on a private dock for a VIP wine tasting, then whisked away for a picnic at Harper's Trail Winery.
