Celebrate all December Long in Sun Peaks and Kamloops The winter holiday season in Kamloops and Sun Peaks presents festive family and community events throughout the whole month of December—both right in the city, and a short drive into the mountains. 
Get your blood pumping on an energizing Nordic ski loop in the ‘Loops. Head just outside the city to Overlander Ski Club at Stake Lake to hit cross-country trails that will give you twice (or thrice) the views as you go loopy for these circular(ish) routes that trek through forests and across canyons, and glide you alongside frozen lakes. 
Harper Mountain is a charming, family-friendly ski area located 25 minutes outside Kamloops. Ski or snowboard 15 trails on over 400 acres of terrain with a vertical drop of 1,400 ft or 427 m.
