Life's a Beach
Take advantage of the warm summer months in Kamloops. Enjoy an early dinner on the patio at Monte Creek Winery with a favourite bottle of wine. For the evening head to Riverside Park where you can throw out a blanket on the beach, watch the sunset and listen to live music from the Rotary Bandshell at Music in the Park
Get Down + Dirty
Challenge your date to a downhill ride at the Kamloops Bike Ranch or a good pedal session through Kenna Cartwright Park, then head to one of the local brew pubs for aprés beer. Fuel up at Peter's Pasta where you can experience real homemade pasta, but skip the dessert so you can enjoy a perfect ice cream cone from Scoopz while catching the sunset along River's Trail.
Roses are red, So is wine
Pack a basket and book a ride out to Privato Winery. Enjoy an afternoon with a bottle of wine and picnic on the public lawn. Take time to savour the idyllic setting as you sip your way into the evening. For dinner, head to one of the great restaurants on The Shore, followed by a trip to downtown to catch a live music night at the Blue Grotto or the Art We Are cafe.
Trucks + Suds
Head down to the Summer concert series, Music in the Park on Wednesday evenings and fill your boots with delicious food fare from local food trucks. Head over to the Brewloops beer garden, where you can grab a local brew and spend the rest of the evening rockin' out to live music.
Pink sky at night, sailors delight
Take in the sunset view of the South Thompson River on Storms Patio or from inside their intimate dining space. Enjoy a meal made from locally sourced produce, meat, and seafood from Vancouver. Everything is made from scratch and cooked to perfection. Pair your meal up with a local wine or beer from one of our local wineries or breweries to top it off.
After dinner talk a walk down the River's Trail to Riverside Park where you can get an ice cream cone from Scoopz, one of the only locally owned ice cream parlors in Kamloops. With huge selection of flavours and toppings it will make you feel like a kid again.
Don't Drink + Drive. Don't even putt.
Get your swing on at one of the local driving ranges, where you can challenge your partner to a long drive contest. That will decide who pays for dinner and drinks at Red Beard Cafe, a local tap house specializing in a variety of beers including local breweries and great food. Located just across the bridge on The Shore.
Go Be Nauti
Want and outdoor adventure with a picturesque view? Pack dinner and take a drive down Tranquille Road, head left past Tranquille Farm Fresh and park the car. FYI the beach is paw friendly, so no one is left out.
Derail the cart
Put in a good session in the Pineview Bike Trails. Park at the end of Hugh Allen Dr. and pedal your way up to Miner 29'er for a fun flowy trail. If you're feeling up for the challenge descend down Beer Run and head over to Iron Road Brewing for an aprés beer and Mexican appies (ps. get the Nachos).
