Hit a High Note

Almost as high as the stars
Get yourself to the top of greenstone Mountain for an incredible non-obstructed view of stars. Snowshoe a short trail to the ranger hut for a one of a kind photo. For the perfect date pack a bottle of wine, blanket and a candle for a cozy evening under the stars.
Do a Brew Tour
Start your night off at Ironroad Brewery, try their Locomotive Lager while indulging in a few of their homemade tacos. Next, take a taxi down to Red Collar Brewery on Lansdowne, play a board game while sipping on a pint of their well known IPA. Next head down Victoria Street to Alchemy Brewing the newest of breweries with smokehouse BBQ and wood fire pizza. Next visit Noble Pig just a few doors over, known for pairing their great food to their everchanging beer. Last but not least, take a ride over to the newest brewery BrightEye, check out the fresh new interior, while enjoying a brew straight from the tank itself.
Do A Loop Day or Night
Head to Overlander Ski Club, just 25km south of Kamloops, where you can choose between a day/night snowshoe or cross country ski. Rental equipment is available at the lodge and don't forget your headlamp for the dark. With 60 km of scenic, expertly groomed cross country ski trails and 12km of snowshoe trails, the variety of trails is perfect for any level. Next, satisfy that worked up appetite with a pint from Ironroad Brewery while sharing a plate of their stacked nachos.
Hoodoo Valley wine tour
Drive the scenic route to Harper's Trail Winery down East Shuswap Road. The single-lane road follows the base of the hoodoos that line the valley of the South Thompson River. While driving, look high on the hillside or in the fields, you may even catch a glimpse of a bighorn sheep. Once at Harpers Trail enjoy the beauty of the Kamloops valley and harper's vineyard while sipping wine from their tasting room. Next head over to Monte Creek Ranch Winery where the panoramic view is the perfect setting to try their latest varieties and shop their eclectic collection of nick-nacks. Last but not least head over to Privato Winery, their beautiful acreage is also home to woodward cider and Woodward Christmas Trees.

Life's a Beach
Take advantage of the warm summer months in Kamloops. Enjoy an early dinner on the patio at Monte Creek Winery with a favourite bottle of wine. For the evening head to Riverside Park where you can throw out a blanket on the beach, watch the sunset and listen to live music from the Rotary Bandshell at Music in the Park
Get Down + Dirty
Challenge your date to a downhill ride at the Kamloops Bike Ranch or a good pedal session through Kenna Cartwright Park, then head to one of the local brew pubs for aprés beer. Fuel up at Peter's Pasta where you can experience real homemade pasta, but skip the dessert so you can enjoy a perfect ice cream cone from Scoopz while catching the sunset along River's Trail.
Roses are red, So is wine
Pack a basket and book a ride out to Privato Winery. Enjoy an afternoon with a bottle of wine and picnic on the public lawn. Take time to savour the idyllic setting as you sip your way into the evening. Wine not your thing? Woodward Cider has a cidery on-site available for tastings and purchases. As the evening sets in, head to one of the great restaurants on The Shore, followed by a trip downtown to catch a live music night at the Blue Grotto or the Art We Are cafe.
Trucks + Suds
Head down to the Summer concert series, Music in the Park on Wednesday evenings and fill your boots with delicious food fare from local food trucks. Head over to the Brewloops beer garden, where you can grab a local brew and spend the rest of the evening rockin' out to live music.
Derail the cart
Put in a good session in the Pineview Bike Trails. Park at the end of Hugh Allen Dr. and pedal your way up to Miner 29'er for a fun flowy trail. If you're feeling up for the challenge descend down Beer Run and head over to Iron Road Brewing for an aprés beer and Mexican appies (ps. get the Nachos).
Pink sky at night, sailors delight
Take in the sunset view of the South Thompson River on Sandbar's Patio. Enjoy the highest quality, locally produced foods and beverages. Pair your meal up with a local wine or beer from one of our local wineries or breweries to top it off.
After dinner take a walk on the River Trail to downtown where you can get an ice cream cone from Scoopz, one of the only locally owned ice cream parlours in Kamloops. With a huge selection of flavours and toppings, it will make you feel like a kid again.
